To install and maintain your new water-saving aerator follow the steps below.
Please note that this is a dual-threaded aerator which can fit onto either male (outside) threaded faucets or female (inside) threaded faucets. Determine which type of threads your faucet has before installing the new aerator.
- Remove the old aerator from faucet.
- Before installing the new aerator, turn on water to wash out faucet.
- Turn off the water.
For inside threaded faucets:
- Place two rubber washers on top of the aerator.
- Screw the aerator into the inside threads of the faucet. Hand-tighten.
Outside threaded faucets:
- Place one rubber washer on top of the aerator.
- Screw the aerator onto the outside threads of the faucet. Hand-tighten.
To clean, unscrew the faucet aerator and remove any foreign particles. Soak the aerator in hydrogen peroxide or vinegar.
