Water-saving aerator installation guide

To install and maintain your new water-saving aerator follow the steps below.

Please note that this is a dual-threaded aerator which can fit onto either male (outside) threaded faucets or female (inside) threaded faucets. Determine which type of threads your faucet has before installing the new aerator.

  1. Remove the old aerator from faucet.
  2. Before installing the new aerator, turn on water to wash out faucet.
  3. Turn off the water.
For inside threaded faucets:
  1. Place two rubber washers on top of the aerator.
  2. Screw the aerator into the inside threads of the faucet. Hand-tighten.
Outside threaded faucets:
  1. Place one rubber washer on top of the aerator.
  2. Screw the aerator onto the outside threads of the faucet. Hand-tighten.

To clean, unscrew the faucet aerator and remove any foreign particles. Soak the aerator in hydrogen peroxide or vinegar.
